Questions
How are words counted?
A word is a run of letters and digits, so "don't" and "well-known" each count as one, as in Word and Google Docs. Hindi and other scripts are counted too, and so are Chinese, Japanese and Thai where your browser can split them.
Is my text saved?
No. It stays in the box and is gone when you close the tab.
How is reading time worked out?
At 220 words a minute for reading and 130 for speaking aloud. People vary, so treat it as a guide.
