Your files stay yours.
It runs on your device
A tool is a small program that your browser downloads and runs. The file you choose is read by that program on your phone or computer. It is not sent to us.
You can check
Open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use a tool. You will see the page load its code, and you will not see your file go anywhere.
Some are heavy
Video and scanned-text tools download a larger engine the first time, and your browser keeps it. Big files can run out of memory, especially on a phone, and the tool tells you when that happens.
