Why is it slow?
The work is done by ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, running on one processor core in your browser. That keeps your video on your device, and it is slower than a desktop app.
How big a video can I use?
It depends on your device's memory. A phone may cope with 100 MB or so; a computer with more. If the tab runs out of memory you will see a message, and a shorter clip will work.
Will WhatsApp accept the result?
MP4 with H.264 and AAC, which this makes, is what WhatsApp and most sites expect. WhatsApp has its own size limit, so check it against your result.
