How to use it.

  1. Choose a picture: a logo, a photo, a mood board.
  2. See its main colours, ordered by how much of the picture they cover. Change how many you want.
  3. Tap a swatch to copy its hex code, or copy the whole set as CSS variables or JSON.

Questions

How are the colours chosen?

The picture is shrunk, then a clustering method called k-means groups similar pixels. Each swatch is the middle of one group. The same picture always gives the same palette.

Can I pick one exact colour?

Yes. Tap or click any point in the picture. In Chrome and Edge there is also a button to pick from anywhere on your screen.
